Is Lincoln (between Schenectady and Utica) now Crown Heights last open drug mart? — Brooklynian

Is Lincoln (between Schenectady and Utica) now Crown Heights last open drug mart?

Is Lincoln (between Schenectady and Utica) now Crown Heights last open, blatant drug mart? As a result of the crack down on open drug sales on Union (between Franklin and Bedford), that is the only place I blatantly see it in Crown Heights anymore. Nostrand near St Marks has become subtle. The areas around Albany Houses are pretty subtle too.

  • That stretch of Lincoln is really narrow, and people loitering would be really noticeable.  I haven't noticed blatant activity near the Utica end, where are you seeing it?
  • I'm seeing it toward Schenactady.

The block has been active a while, so it isn't "news".

I am just noting that it seems to be the only area in CH that is still this obvious.

Franklin south of Eastern on any weekend night
  • It appears that people from out of the neighborhood know that the sellers hang out in the deli on the northeast corner of Troy and St. Johns.

Dealing within the confines of a bodega or at night meets my definition of subtle.

    I am a generous guy.

Tuesday night, a man was fatally shot at Lincoln and Utica, the block in CH I have deemed "least subtle".

  • The link has this happening at Lincoln and Eastern Parkway, which is 4 blocks east of Utica.

I was at the Blink gym at that corner around that time on Tuesday and saw no sign of anything.

    Drat. Misread the map.
This also explains why it did not come up on more of my feeds; most people do not consider CH to go that far East.
