Big police presence in Mt prospect

Was there with my son but heard no commotion, just lots of sirens and then lots of cops in the corner near the library as well as investigators and they shut off an entrance. Would imagine someone found something, or someone?

Yea, multiple detectives. Blue tape. Western section of Park closed.

However, no helicopter and no ambulance.    Whatever happened seems "done"

As per reporter for CH11:    The body of a man reported missing in the 77th pct has been found.   No signs of foul play.

Really creepy considering we and others were playing right there and didn't notice. Wonder if one of the kids running in bushes found him

He may have simply died on a bench.

On Sunday, cops located the body of a man who was reported missing two days before the discovery.

68-year-old Moses King was found dead on Sunday, November 13 at approximately 1:45pm in the Mount Prospect Park area of the park just behind Brooklyn Public Library. His wife reported King missing on Friday, November 11.

When police and EMS arrived, the man was unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Cops say there were no obvious signs of trauma.

His wife told police he left their nearby home at 304 St. John’s Place (near Underhill Avenue) on Friday to go to the library and did not return.

King suffered from a heart condition and wore a pacemaker.

Although police do not suspect foul play, the Medical Examiner has not yet confirmed the cause of death.
