Subject: Lots of RBG's live in Queens

According to this article, the median income for blacks in Queens has surpassed the median income for whites, making Queens the only populous area that can claim that stat. Article says the stat can mostly be attributed to the influx of West Indians. Chalk up another positive for free immigration flow.

    Fascinating. Of course among all the positives of free immigration flow is a potential negative: what happens to the country of emigration when those with the most initiative take their labor elsewhere?

    True. In Mexico's case, I think the govt sees emigration as a nice way of reducing its unemployed while creating an avenue from remittances home. Remittances make up a huge portion of global "aid". On the other hand, I recently heard that the Phillipines govt is pissed b/c all of its nurses are being recruited into other countries, leaving it with a shortage. I guess it goes both ways.
