Brooklyn's Flatbush Farm
Subject: Brooklyn's Flatbush Farm
There's been so much conflicting info about the newly opened Flatbush Farm restaurant on St. Marks on the the dailyheights.com and Brooklynian message boards that I thought you might want the official press information.Brooklyn’s Own FLATBUSH FARM:
BROOKLYN, NY (September 26th, 2006) – On Thursday, September 21st, Flatbush Farm paired its recently opened bar(n) with a new restaurant. Born from the desire to forge a pleasant and friendly dining establishment with fresh, locally grown produce, Flatbush Farm enters the stage with theatrical flare and simple, seasonal fare. Featuring an eclectic selection of ales, wines, and spirits, it is an endeavor of wonderful simplicity: eat heartily, drink merrily.
The Farm, as it’s affectionately known, features a 2400 square foot bar-restaurant, 1500 sq ft outdoor patio, and 3000 sq ft basement housing a cellar and spacious kitchen. Here Chef Eric Lind and his team work culinary magic: logs are burned, spits turn, ovens choke with baked delicacies. Chef Lind comes to Flatbush Farm from Bayard’s in Manhattan where he worked as Eberhard Muller’s Chef de cuisine. Prior to Bayard’s, Chef Lind worked his craft at famed Manhattan restaurant Lutèce, and the Maccioni Family’s Osteria del Circo, with stints in Italy and New Orleans in between. Chef Lind is committed to using the best locally available ingredients to prepare affordable fare of exceptional quality and savor.
And so the story goesâ€â€the notorious gastronomic rakes of Flatbush Farm have returned to their native Brooklyn and are preparing a table just for you. Wine you say? Feasting you say? It is in their nature, as it is yours. Please let the word go forth. Lo, now is come our joyfullest feast!

Okay, at least you're straightforward about it. But we've already got two threads to discuss this place:
