Please help test Calendar
We don't ask for much from you guys. Hell, we don't ask for anything, really, except that you be kind and occasionally rewind. We don't really even solicit donations anymore, at least not directly (though your sporadic outlays have definitely helped pay the bills and have motivated us to keep improving the site).
OK. Let's get "on message" here (following the lead of young snitch, we now take no days off and stay unbearably on message):
Our new CALENDAR needs road testers. You're doing something fun or important soon, right? Well, please hit the calendar and post your event. Direct link to the calendar is: http://brooklynian.com/forums/calendar.php
Right now, there is just a tiny link to the calendar at the top of the page, but there are some plans in the works to put up a fabulous "current events" bug in a prominent place (hellooo free publicity) and set up an rss feed just for calendar events.
The calendar is every bit as ugly, clunky and discombobulated as the rest of Brooklynian.com, so don't get too excited. But it's a first step, and if the consensus is that the calendar sucks, it will be quickly replaced by something incrementally less horrible.
Call to Action: Post your event here:

Thanks for putting up the calendar. It may not be pretty, but it's intuitive and practical and I'm glad to know what's going on. -
There's a Panamanian parade this weekend:
