Good washer/dryer repairman? — Brooklynian

Good washer/dryer repairman?

After 16+ years in Brooklyn, I've finally been blessed with a small stacked washer/dryer combo. We bought off of the previous tenant for $300. Unfortunately, the dryer seems to have taken a tumble (sorry, couldn't resist) and doesn't get very hot anymore. Anyone know of a good repairman in the neighborhood? Also, anyone have any idea what that may cost me? Obviously don't want to spend more to fix it than what I paid for it.

p.s. It's a Maytag, if that matters.

  • Never got a dryer repaired but we, and my sister in law, have used Copperline Repairs & Service 917 531-4054. They show up when they say they will and charge a fair price. They installed my air conditioners and repaired my sister in law's
  • I've used Sears' repair service for my washer and dryer. I think they will repair any brand (not just Sears appliances). You can schedule/reschedule appointments on the internet and they show up as scheduled. But it's been a while and I'm not sure how their prices compare to others.
  • Thanks for the info! Much appreciated.
