Great bars/restaurants in PH — Brooklynian

Great bars/restaurants in PH

Newer to the area, been here about 2 months.

When we want to get dinner, we usually cross the park and find something in Park Slope...
I've tried Islands (twice), Cafe Shane, Beast, Tom's and KDogg on Lincoln Rd at Flatbush, and I like them all but I'm looking for something new in a bar/grill/cafe/etc to get good food and drinks in a nice atmosphere.

Where do you go? I read about Ripple on another thread and am going there tonight-- what other places do you suggest? sometimes menupages-type sites lie.

my demographic: mid-twenties, not rich, live on Washington Av between eastern pkwy and empire, so I'm looking for something walkable (nothing further north than Gen japanese.)

Theres is Tavern on Dean which is on Dean and Underhill (I know its a little further than you said) and it has a nice bar and restaurant that is open to 3:00 a.m.
  • Black Pear a restaurantl on Union (across from the Food CoOp) in Park Slope is good food, cool decor, and great staff. There is also Miracle Grill on 7th (forget the cross street).
