where does downtown Brooklyn fit?

So, I just moved to Brooklyn and I'm loving it! However, I noticed that none of the forums include "downtown Brooklyn" as their area of coverage (e.g., areas including Brooklyn Bridge Blvd., Cadman Plaza, etc.). Is that because people are snobbish about that area, or just an oversight? Should I keep an eye on the BoCoCa forum or on the Brooklyn Heights one?
