sign-maker/craftsperson/shop in PS/PH areas?

Magical wondrous internet folks, I pose a question to you.

I need to get a sign made, with the following requirements:

* weatherproof (this is a must)
* approximately 2' x 1', or a bit bigger - something that can be read from a few dozen feet back
* fully customizable - I need to be able to tell the sign maker exactly what to put on the sign, and preferably input into color choices, design etc. This won't be a sign with a street address - think a sign with a "house name" on it.
* I have to have the sign in my possession before Christmas (another must. Hell, these all are, really.)

The sign will be a Christmas gift for my parents. Think a gift-worthy sign. This doesn't mean it has to be extremely detailed or highly expensive - in fact, I'd prefer something not exceptionally flashy - but it does need to be of substance. The sign needs to be attached to the outside of a house, hence the readable from a few dozen feet away and weatherproof.

Can anyone help me? Pretty please? I've found some web sites, but I'd much rather have the recommendation of a local craftsperson/shop over just some random web page.

  • There's a printing shop on Washington between Sterling and St. Johns (near Cafe Shane) that may or may not do this.
