    Thanks.
at the risk of sounding like the wise ass that i am, it's on Halloween. It starts at 6:30 in the South Slope and heads north.

    Enjoy.
  • Thanks!
For some reason I thought it needs to be on a weekend...Silly me European
  • You might know this already, but it is mostly a kids' parade and very tame. It starts around 11th Street.
  • this comes from the Park Slope Civil Council:

"Oct 31, 6:30pm Park Slope Civic Council's Halloween Parade. Join the Headless Horsewoman and other Halloween friends on Tuesday, October 31 at the Civic Council's Halloween Parade. The parade, for children of all ages, starts at 6:30 pm at 7th Avenue and 12th Street and proceeds to Union Street. Participants may join the parade at any point along the route. Our usual Parade bands - Paprika and The Eternal Buzz Brass Band - will be on hand. Pre-Halloween Parade Party, 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The Prospect Park YMCA is once again hosting a party prior to the Parade. This event, including pumpkin decorating, dancing and candy treats, is free for all children ages 3 through 11. The YMCA is located on 9th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. As always, the Parade would not be possible without generous support from our sponsors"

Tame my ass. Have you ever seen how many spectator kids the 78th bust during the parade for shaving cream or egg attacks? Or just stupid violence?
  • Yeah, those Park Slope middle schoolers are scary. You could get caught in the silly-string crossfire.
  • It all sounds good to me! Thanks eveybody.
I am planning to observe, not to participate - even though I remember from last year some pretty good adult costumes!

Exactly Rose! I say lock those little criminal bastards up and send them down to Angola prison where they can exert their energy chopping rock and singing spirituals.
