TOUGH NEIGHBORHOOD FOR THIS AMBASSADOR MEMBER
GROWING BACK IN THOSE DAYS SURE TOOK ALOT OUT OF ME, BUT WE HAD TO SURVIVED IN THOSE DAYS AND HAVE RESPECT IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.GANGS WERE ABUNDANCE , BUT THERE WERE ALSO PEACEFUL GOOD TIMES. LIKE GOING TO THE PARAMOUNT AND THE FOX TO SEE ROCK AND ROLL SHOWS. ALSO OUR FAVORITE SPOT WAS THE LIDO THEATRE ON COURT STREET WHERE WE CAN SEE AT LEAST THREE MOVIES FOR A DECENT PRIZE. WE WERE ALWAYS BATTLING BISHOPS FROM 5TH AVE, AS WELL AS THE BLACK DIAMONDS FROM HENRY STREET, AND LAST , BUT NOT LEAST APACHES FROM HOYT STREET. BUT THOSE DAYS WE MANAGED TO SURVIVED, NOW HERE I AM IN LAW-ENFORCEMENT AND TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD.

GEEZ... you guys are a tough audience.
Let me apologize, on behalf of former Cobble Hill gang members everywhere, for the lack of sensitivity to case.
RAFAEL, what are you doing in law enforcement? Are you a cop on the beat? How many former gang members became cops? -

Yeah, I just assumed it was a telegram TOUGH NEIGHBORHOOD STOP FOR THIS AMBASSADOR MEMBER STOP...
Let me apologize, on behalf of former Cobble Hill gang members everywhere, for the lack of sensitivity to case.
Seriously, what's an Ambassador? Was it the name of your gang? That's one thing I love about old gang stories -- how relatively refined some of the names were.
"You mess with the Ambassadors and we'll draft a strongly worded diplomatic statement -- on yer ass!" -

I KNOW. I LOVE "THE BISHOPS." I WOULD TRY TO FOLLOW YOUR JOKE ABOUT THE TOUGHNESS OF THAT NAME, BUT I THINK MONTY PYTHON BEAT ME TO IT:
"You mess with the Ambassadors and we'll draft a strongly worded diplomatic statement -- on yer ass!"

Sorry everyone for the repeat posts, I just want to make sure they get through to each person and they aren't registered, unless I'm doing something wrong?
Anyhow, Chino, were you familiar with the Mau Maus, they had a Chino in their gang in 1959.
Email me at [email protected] would like to hear from you.
Thanks for your patience everyone...
