New veggie restaurant on Nostrand...

Anyone have details about the new veggie restaurant opening on Nostrand, between St. Johns and Sterling? Looks like it will be Island cuisine, wondering if it'll be a sit-down or take-out joint?

Are you talking about D'Ital Shack? It's an awesome patty hut located down Nostrand near Empire. They have, like, 12 varieties of vegan patties in both flaky golden crust and whole wheat. It's some delicious.

Or are you talking about another restaurant?

I'm pretty sure the place cowgirly is refering to on Nostrand near Sterling is also called ItalShack. It appears there is a new health food store on the same block that might be the same owner, by virtue of timing and the look of the signage. I have not seen either of them open, or even seen the gates up.

I saw the gates up last week on the Organic Vegetable store two doors down, and they were still working on the shelving. Make take a few more weeks.

Until they open, you can spend some time at the new carpet store or handbag store, both now open on Nostrand bet. Sterling and Prospect Place.
