I believe Flailey is what's technically known as a satirist, and I thought he was amusing and clever. But even if he weren't it doesn't really matter... I can laugh at comedy/entertainment acts like those of Pat Robertson and Newt Gingrich just as well as those of Ali G. That's the funny thing about humor: you have to get it for yourself.
