Runners! The Brooklyn Hash Is Tonight! Monday 11/27
It's a beautiful night, so come on out and join the Brooklyn Hash House Harriers!
Here's how it is. If you like to run, and you like to drink, and you like to socialize, and you're not an ass, you show up.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see details below. If that still doesn't get it done for you, please respond to the thread with any questions.
Brooklyn #368
Start: Borough Hall Stop, 7PM
Transit: Borough Hall stop on the 2/3/4/5 and Court St stop on the M/N/R (and the AC and F are about three blocks away)
Who are the Brooklyn Hash House Harriers?
A group of runners who meet at a predetermined location on the Borough of Brooklyn. They are part of a loosely organized worldwide network of hashes. Some people run fast, others run slow. It all depends on your ability.
What do they do?
A member of the group (the hare) presets a trail using a system of chalk and flour marks along the way. The rest of the group tries to follow the trail, and if all goes well, they end up at a drinking establishment, have some refreshing beverages, and a bite to eat. Trails are usually between 3 and 5 miles and the hare will bring your bag to the bar. Rain or Shine.
Where are the hashes?
Anywhere in Brooklyn. The pack never knows where a trail will go or where it may lead. Hashers may run through streets, back alleyways, parks, whatever. No matter what, at trail's end it's still a party.
Why?
You enjoy a good run (or walk), a nice cold beer, and the company of likeminded others.
