Steak and Sushi?

Just noticed this morning a sign on 5th Ave between 22nd and 23rd for Osaka Steak and Sushi. Not sure when this sign went up, but I think I would have noticed it if it had been there a while.

It looked like it may be going in next to the dirty Chinese take-out, but I couldn't tell how close the space is to being done.

Anyone have any info?

Used to be Bo-Bo Chinese. Now a veggie based Chinese 'raunt. They are OK. Nothing to write home about...

From what I have seen, Osaka is run out of the same joint. Small sushi bar inside. I'd say take out only...or better yet, walk into the Slope. I have not had their sushi (don't eat steak ), but I'm not real inclined to try it. My 2 cents.

UPDATE: finally got a take out menu yesterday stuffed in my mail box. Fairly extensive Japanese menu...though I still question who's doing the sushi, hibachi and bowls of udon :roll:

i did love they list Snapple as a desert item
