rental brokers in the hood?

When you say you prefer no fee do you mean no fee to you or no fee to the person renting your apt?
Someone pays the fee one way or another. Most of the time it is the renter and there is thus no fee to the owner. In some instances the owner will agree to pay the fee and then the broker will advertise the listing as a no fee rental.
Unless you have a good relationship with a broker who you know will work to push your rental and who you feel comfortable giving a key to you are best left to handle this yourself. You will do the same amount of work with or without using a broker.
Craigslist is still the best place to advertise. -
I agree,Go craigslist. What you save in the fee, whether you pay it or the tenant pays it, ultimately comes out of your rent. The rent for a fee place will be lower...
Also, why trust an agent who just wants to get the cash over yourself, who will probably be living above or beneath this tenant. It's so easy to it yourself and you can have more input. Use a Bloomberg lease and get the Landlord's of New York book and go for it... -
