Sunset Park by 41st and 2nd avenue

Hi.

How is Sunset Park by 41st street and 1st avenue. I was offered a place there (that I havent seen yet but will in 2 weeks). I was told by a friend that as a girl I should be careful because there is a lot of strip clubs and industrial spaces around there and it may be unsafe to walk home after dark (6 pm) coming home from work.

How is it really? in terms of shopping, how desolate is it, how reliable are the trains etc.

Come to next week's Community Board 7 meeting, serving Sunset Park and ask questions. Strip Clubs, YES. Hookers, YES. Safe? Well, that's a state of mind.

You are near the water, though
