Christmas tree quandary in CHN — Brooklynian

Christmas tree quandary in CHN

I haven't seen any tree lots in CH North -- the nearest I've seen is on Flatbush/Pacific, but that's too far for me to hoof it back to Kingston with baby in tow; and until they make a stroller/granny cart hybrid, I'll need a way to lug it home, or pay someone to walk it over to me. Any ideas on where I can get us a Xmas tree? What about Restoration Plaza?

Thanks in advance.

  • There's a guy that has a store of sorts on the corner of Atlantic and Brooklyn. It's on the SW corner across from the BP. His store is really more of a shop run out of a large shipping container or something like that. He mainly sells artwork. He has some trees for sale.
  • The fruit and vegetable stand on Kingston and Fulton had a few trees. --E.
  • Hey guys, thanks. I went to the place on Bklyn & Atlantic (quixotic storefront/storage unit indeed. guy's a lil' pushy, but cool enough), but hey, i managed to lug home a decent, not-too-dry 6' tree for $25. Deck the halls!
  • Just an update: Those dudes are selling kindling on Atlantic/Brooklyn! My damn tree dried up in less than 5 days, so now I gotta start all over.

I guess it doesn't matter too much for anyone scrambling for a tree this weekend about freshness... but if you do buy from these guys, don't count on it to last through New Year's! Caveat emptor! And oh yeah, happy holidays!
  • Don't know about how fresh they are, but I noticed today that they're also selling trees at the discount beer store on Washington between Dean and Bergen.
