I think you're mixing up Matt Damon and Brad Pitt (they leave the People magazine at the gym, I do not buy it!).

I believe they are now filming up at Bronx Community College (which until the 1960's was an uptown campus of NYU). I was up there last week and saw the crews at Gould Hall setting up for scenes meant to be the Yale library circa the 1910/20's. Loads of really old Yale memorabilia sitting around. It was pretty cool. We were told that filming up there was to be today.

That was actually at football field which is right next to Edward R. Murrow H.S.

the interiors were shot at pratt.  ie, the library scene.  google debbie does dallas and pratt.
