Found A Kitty

Just found a kitty in Prospect Park. He/she was sitting on top of his/her carrying case meowing. It was just beyond the tunnel you go through when coming from Grand Army Plaza, in the bushes on the left side. We may keep this one, and we have a vet appointment for Tues.

So if anyone is missing a cat they intentionally abandoned in the park, please be sure let us know.

Oh!! - the thought of someone deliberately abandoning a cat with the carrier made me feel sick - not sure why I find this worse than abanding the cat on its own.

I guess I like to think that most strays are escapees (even though I know that's obviously not true in many/most cases)....

So glad the cat was found by someone as caring as you.

i HATE people who abandon cats. really, they should be killed. and i'm not entirely kidding.

Unfortunately, our original kitty isn't thrilled about having a bouncy young cat jumping around all of a sudden. But they aren't fighting much. I think it'll work.

our bodega cat had kittens, again, and there's one left that i have to tear myself away from every time i'm in there. she's a great kitten, but my old crabby cat (whom i adore) hates people and cats. ergo, old crabby and i grow old together.

Well the kitty checked out OK - no FIV, no lekemia. Got her her shots, etc. Looks like a keeper!
