Brooklyn Touring
My parents are going to be here visiting us this spring, and for Christmas, I'd like to give my dad a gift certificate for a Brooklyn walking tour. But I need help! What would you include in a Brooklyn walking tour? Where would you go for lunch? What stops would you make? This will probably be in February, so some things are not viable (including Coney Island, for example, or the Botanical Gardens.) I know my dad would like to see ethnic neighborhoods (including Hasidic neighborhoods and Russian neighborhoos, like Brighton Beach).
Any suggestions would be so much appreciated! I'd also appreciate suggestions for what to include in the gift under the tree--any Brooklyn-specific treats or goodies, in particular.

Green-Wood Cemetery!
(but, I am biased)
They have walking tours, via their Historical Fund, in the Spring and Fall http://www.greenwoodcemetery.org/
Also, Big Apple Walking Tours does a Green-Wood "famous NYers" tour and a pretty good Bklyn tour that includes several Bklyn nabes. -

If you go to the Brooklyn Heights promenade, stop at Jaques Torres chocolate shop:

It's supposed to be very good, there's also a pretty good informal restaurant near there called Bubbies (?) I think, and of course the River Cafe, have fun!
