  • yes. they're a good opportunity to try wine you (I mean me) wouldn't actually purchase. for cost reasons.
  • I haven't, but my, what a fantastic idea. How about we go sometime?

are you asking me out on a date???????bwwaaahahaha. i mean. yes. we should totally go. only problem is, we both dont get off of work till 6. we gotta go on a day when we arent working late maybe. because they tend to go from 6-8:( or we could always just go late i guess, and catch up on the drankin when we get there:)
  • well, you don't really drink continuously. there's enough "boozin'" to last maybe 15 minutes, if you sip slowly.

generally, you walk in, get a glass, stand with a group of two to four other people, and someone pours you a few dribbles of wine and talks about it. generally that someone is either the owner of the store or a wine rep. they pour you a dribble of the next wine and talk about it. etc. til they're done. the champagne tasting tonight (just saw the email), for instance, is only two champagnes - the tasting will be two small sips of champagne and will probably take you 10 minutes.

so, you don't need to be there at 6 on the dot. you could show up at 7:55 and still get the pours.

OOOO good to know! and like you said, it's certainly good for someone like me who would like to taste some pricey wine i could never afford. i never buy anything that costs more than 10bux. and if i DO stop there, its only because i wasn't able to make it to trader joes for a 3 dollar bottle!
