three curious spaces in the neighborhood

1. does anyone know what the space above the drum studio on st. marks & vanderbilt is? i believe its the same building as the bright orange and blue stairwell - next to the bridal factory. before the holidays, we saw what looked like a cocktail party there. curious what the story is.

2. and any word on what looks like a possible restaurant on vanderbilt between either st. marks and bergen or bergen and dean? (facing atlantic, it is on the right side of the street. i don't remember the exact block). i peered in but can only see track lighting and exposed brick.....

3. there's something new opening on vanderbilt, a few doors from memories out of the box. they had what looked like 50s underwear advertisements on the window for awhile. any scoop?

  • 1) This is a recording studio, I think. They just renovated their 2nd floor.
    2) don't know
    3) I think this the new body wrap place?
  • Ooh, can I add one?

There's a building on Underhill between St. Marks and Prospect Place, I think, between the car parking place and that ugly new angled Fedders building. There's a storefront-style window on the ground floor and some stuff about art painted below the window, but otherwise it just looks like a regular residential building. Any ideas what that is?
  • oh yea I think that's an art studio... but I don't know if it's also someone's residence. I've seen the gate up on the weekends to show the display of artwork in the window. I think there's a name or a website listed somewhere but I don't remember.
