mac mouse weirdnesses

anyone notice this...

when using the mouse on OS x
the mouse pointer will inexplicably jump from one location to another
like it's trying to guess where i wanna go next

is there a preference setting for this?

Sometimes mine "submarines"--I've got to twirl the mouse to look for it.

What kind of mouse do you have?

I have a Kensington wireless on my IMac. it submarines as well. I also have problems with the latest Firefox. I switched to Camino.

i have the two button mighty mouse with the scroll button
"submarine" is the right word for it
one second you're on the lower left corner of the screen
the next, your cursor is on the upper right corner

is there any way to fix this?

I use a wireless Logitech mouse (not bluetooth).

I think (not sure) that wired mice don't submarine as much.

It certainly is annoying.
