I am a Brooklyn local independent filmmaker with 16 years of experience in documentary creation. I recently began offering DVD authoring, family video portrait & fundraising video business to all my neighbors in NYC and beyond. I can transfer your old home videos to DVD or hard drives for archival purposes (tapes get deteriorated overtime and you will never be able to watch them again. See accepted formats below), I can edit your home videos or photos with title graphics and music and make a special DVD gift, or make a movie of your parents’ lifetime with precious photos and moving images, your baby’s first years, your honeymoons, or your children’s various coming of age rituals… ideas are unlimited. I would like to be your neighborhood video person like a portrait studio in photography, to preserve your precious family history as moving images. Your DVDs will be decorated with a full color image & title of your choice and they will look very special.

I also want to extend my services for small non-profit organizations so that they could produce a simple but effective fundraising videos at affordable rates. I can shoot, edit and author DVDs. I will discuss with you and work with new and/or exisiting footages & photos depending on your budget and needs.

You provide the photos and existing home videos, we discuss about your visions in detail, and I edit with music and title graphics of your choice into one complete movie.

You often just shoot, label, and shelf them, never watch them again… Why not turn your (or your loved one’s) precious memories into a movie and enjoy it with your friends and family. You can preserve priceless family history and pass it on.

I can also shoot an interview with your loved ones or capture their daily life with my 3ccd comcorder upon request (in NYC only).

Make a fundraising/promo video for your small-mid size non-profit organizations and for your artist careers (performers, singers, actors, or painters, craftmen, etc)

I can shoot the original materials for the video, or work with existing footages.

A local independent filmmaker will do the job for/with you with care and love for your moving image materials at affordable rates.

ACCEPTED SOURCE FORMATS (WHAT YOU BRING OR MAIL):
- Mini DV, VHS, or 3/4. (DVD, only if you want me to edit it into a new movie. Not a cloning service.)
- Hi 8, Digital 8 and other analog formats possible if you can bring your own camera with power cable

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE (TRANSFER SERVICE AT BASIC RATE*)
- DVDs in jewel or amaray case (the one like commercial DVDs) containing the exact same content with the original tape. I use Verbatim DVDs (white, hub printable) discs for superior image quality. Titles you provide will be printed on disc (all-player safe)
- Chapter Markers every 10min
- Video starts playing after disc insertion (no menu page)
*Manu pages, custom chapter markers, full-color DVD face print & case insert and other services available with additional costs. See below.

PRICES FOR TRANSFERRING/DVD AUTHORING SERVICES:
? Basic transfer to DVD: $30/source tape (for transfer service)
? Your favorite image (a still photo or an image from the video) & title printed directly on your DVD’s non-media side (all player safe) - $10-30
? Full Color inserts designed for jewel or amaray case - $10 -40
? Request for additional discs (same content & face image) - $8/disc with titles printed, $10/disc with full color face image
? Custom chapter Markers - $2/marker
? Advanced menu pages with images and chapter marker index - $10-$50/page depending on the design
? Color correction, Image enhancement (price negotiable)

PRICES FOR MOVIE CREATION/EDITING SERVICES:
? Shooting (3ccd professional quality camcorder, tripod, and myself) - $100-200/day to capture the important moments of your family members.
? Assemble-edit of selected images from multiple tapes into one video ($5/cut if the timecode & reel # is provided)
? Editing with snap photos, existing home videos, or original artworks - family documentary, video album, you or your loved one’s life projects (videos to be shown at weddings, birthdays, or just to keep as a memorabilia). Smooth transitions, title graphics to your taste - price negotiable according to the complexity of the project, but will wind up somewhere between $100 _ 1000 for 5-30min. projects.
? Special Package Price will be discussed for the movie creation from scratch (shooting, editing and DVD authoring) for your family events and fundraising/promo videos.
