Rally this weekend
I just received this from another list
Hello all - I know you've all given and will continue to give to the Red Cross, as well as calling your reps and giving them all holy hell re: this government's response or lack thereof to this incredible disaster. Bush is AWOL again, still, always. Everyone I'm emailing here gets it - too bad none of you are the damn president.
I don't know who is organizing the protest described below happening today and tomorrow at noon at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan, but I don't care. I will be there tomorrow and you might want to join me. I'd be there today as well if I could. Please forward this as you see fit.
I am staggered by the fact that BushCo has been able to fuck something up so bad that Iraq is now on my back burner, but somehow here we are. When we somehow manage to save and provide for our fellow Americans in LA and MS and wherever else who are currently DYING IN THE STREETS from lack of food, water, shelter etc, we have got to remove this Administration from power.
Homeland security begins at home - thank you all for everything you do. I can hardly function anymore looking at all this. Love you all -
Dave

Please pass this on -- I will be on the site with a few signs.
I hope some can bring home made signs or banners. All are invited to attend even for a short spell. I am enraged by the suffering of the Katrina victims and indiffern=ence of the Bush administration. Join me! And tell others.

I've also been hearing rumors of a gathering/protest at Union Square at 6pm. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
