CRAPPY DAYCARE IN THE SLOPE — Brooklynian

CRAPPY DAYCARE IN THE SLOPE

OK I havent posted here in a while. Last time. I was accused of being a troll. No I'm no troll Im just Very open about my highly opinionated opinions. This time I have a new gripe. The very shity daycare options we have in the slope. We've been paying about 3-4 hundred bucks a week to get sick more then twice a month and drop of a clean child only to pick up a filthy germ infested scrapper ......WTF? Needless to say Mr. Magnanimous Had to leave his Very Lucrative Paying Job to Play mister Mom.... Its been fun... Maybe I'll start a daycare..or maybe some one out there knows of a daycare facility or person thats a little more civilzed...like maybe you could wipe the snot of my kids face and clean him/her up a bit....

  • Sorry to say it, but kids in daycare do tend to get sick often, especially when they first start daycare. My experience was that they seemed to build up immunity and were rarely getting sick by the time they were in elementary school.

As for the kid getting dirty, well, if the child is pristinely clean at the end of the day, I would wonder what if anything she did all day. Except in really bad weather, they should be playing outside and getting dirty. On the other hand, on a day like today, if the kid is really filthy at the end of the day, I would question how clean the daycare is.

You never sound very magnanimous--sorry you had to care for YOUR sick child but that is one of the cons of daycare. Your kids get sick more and then they need you to care for them.

I didn't want my kids to get sick so much since I have two--so I left my slightly lucrative career to freelance part time and hired a caregiver. Parenting is a series of choices.
