So, how does this work? Do I have to go and get tix? Will there be a line/crowd? What goes on? What's the scene?

Comments

  • no need to get tix. but there's a line. and a crowd. everyone shows up from all over the place.
  • One of the bartenders at Ripple said they were doing something special for 1st Sat. Or that they expect a big crowd. I forget. It was late.
  • I have not been to one in a while, but usually you can just walk right in, but I think lines might be for certain events like films etc..
  • I usually see one or two of the owners of Ripple handing out cards, fliers, etc as people exit from the museum.

BF - you can check out the events on their website; it's different every month. Word of advice - don't go there under the assumption that you'll be able to peacefully browse exhibits.
  • I passed the Museum on my way to the subway for work last night. The place looked mobbed from across the street at a little after 10pm.
  • ripple was insane last night. packed, good music, everyone dancing.
  • Yeah Ripple has been doing the after party for a few years now. It's almost a shame to go to the museum and miss the after party. But you got to wait until about 12:30 for all the "tourists" to clear out so there is enough room to get down and enjoy yourself.
