Finding storefronts - any suggestions?

Craigslist is just not panning out for me. Can anyone suggest a realtor or another resource for finding storefronts to rent?

  • you know, i don't know if she does any commercial work, but marjorie on washington (between st. john's and lincoln, on the north side, washington realty, or something like that) seemed to really have her finger on the neighborhood when we were working with her...she knew everyone's comings and goings and seemed really sharp.
  • Thanks, I think I contacted her already - she's all over craigslist right?
  • Whoa, hold up there... check the threads, I and some others posted a few things about her. She really fucked me over.

she's dodgy. the people who work for her, though, aren't as dodgy. try to work with one of the other realtors there.

Isa, did you try the place further down Washington, near that ginger root place?
  • Where are you looking for storefronts? Using a realtor in this neighborhood is useless. Your best bet is walking the streets and asking other store owners.

    Good luck

Yeah I've pretty much scoured the neighborhood and come up with nothing so far. I even looked on 3rd and 4th avenue and nothing. I've even looked on friggin' Cortelyou road and nothing.

Don't want to second guess anyone else's legwork, but here are some thoughts.

4th Avenue between Bergen and Union seems like they would have something.

What about 3rd Avenue between Union and 3rd Street? That used to be the old Little Italy in Brooklyn and have seen many vacant storefronts over that way.

Also, in the Carroll Gardens area on Smith Street in the general 3rd Street area there are some locally owned buildings and such.
  • Hello!! My name is Cathleen, and I am a Brooklyn real estate agent! I work for owners of buildings, rather than just getting clients on Craigslist, so provide a more specialized service. I have three different brooklyn store fronts right now that I would be happy to show you. Please e-mail me for more information, and to get my phone number and whatnot. I live in Prospect Heights, so I know the area, and I won't screw you over!
