Revovation of bodega on Clinton Fulton Aves. — Brooklynian

Revovation of bodega on Clinton Fulton Aves.

Anyone notice the renovation efforts of the corner bodega? Funny that it's still open as the owners pull apart the ceiling and rearrange half-filled shelves.

I didn't mind until I went to the candy box and found it full of mice pellets. The cashier didn't seem fazed. He just shook out the box and put it back on the shelf.

Maybe selling & renovating shouldn't go together.

  • mouse pellets? LOL! That place looked like a dump before the reno, so lets hope it looks better afterwards. The awning was shredded and just hanging by threads. Maybe they'll ring up the exterminator too while they're in the mood to spruce up.

Yeah the bodega on Washington & Fulton is getting renovated too. You know an area is getting gentrified when the bodegas remodel!

Actually I like that bodega much better that the one across the street, they are very nice and had been making an effort in their offerings (excellent Italian wholewheat organic pasta!) even before the renovation... And their fried chicken is simply awesome, so I hope it comes back after the renovation!!!
  • stfu! wow bianca, i had no idea. i'll have to check them out after they're finished!
  • Yafa deli kicks the other deli's ass. They have a lot of good items for sale and are nice people. Goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Maybe we should change the expression: "you can't judge a bodega by its awning"?
