Join our friends in South Slope Sunday

edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
Concerned neighbors of Greenwood Heights by Greenwood Cemetery are having a rally on Sunday to protest overdevelopment in their neighborhood of Park Slope like we are experiencing here in Prospect Heights. Here are all the details.
(1) March kicks off on Sunday , April 10 th at 15th Street and 7 th Ave at 1P.M. Try to be there by 12:45. Marty Markowitz will be sending us off on our March to Battle Hill. Bill de Blasio & Jim Brennan will be marching with us. We believe there will be some T.V. news there along with print media --So lets get a big turn out for the start of this march. We have an approved parade permit so New York Finest will be along the march with us.

( 2) the Route for the march -- We expect the march to battle hill to last 1 hour. We'll leave from 15 thSt. & 7th Ave at approx. 1PM we will go to 16th Street and turn down 16th and head to 5th Ave. We'll go along 5th Ave. to 21st Street and go up to 6th ave over to 22nd St up to 7th Ave. to the foot of Battle Hill and then down 23rd street. Down 23rd Street and along the gate of Green -Wood to the main entrance of Green-Wood and the up to Battle Hill.
There will be some brief words from some of the folks at Green- Wood and our elected officials and then home. The route highlights the blocks in our community particularly hard hit by the developers.

(3) Tom Keough will be painting signs with fellow artist on Saturday, April
9 at his home from 2 PM to 6 PM Please stop by at 303 A 16 th Street between 6th & 7th Aves.

Lets show the City and the developers we mean business. We are very close to getting the down zoning approved , a big turn out on Sunday will mean a lot to our community. Lets do this for each other. Thanks for all your support
