Wanted: New board moderator!

The traffic on this here FG/CH/BS/etc. message board has grown to the point where it makes sense to "promote" one of the more active users to Moderator status. So if you are interested in joining the super-leet mod squad, now is the time to speak up!

What does one do as moderator, you may be asking? Check here for a short description.

The ideal moderator is an active poster who lives in the neighborhood (or has a special knowledge of the neighborhood). Also, you should be a bit seasoned and familiar with the board. If you are a newbie or relative newbie, please don't be offended if we pass you over.

The main thing moderators do is set the tone for the board by being eminently cool, fair, and level-headed. If you are prone to posting angry tirades at 3 am, then the zen life of a Moderator is probably not for you.

Moderators also get access to Brooklynian freebies, which in the recent past have mainly included invites to openings, media events, parties, premiers, screenings and DVDs (OK, the DVD thing has been a bit touch and go... but we will have better luck next time).
