Kickboxing Class in the PLG neighborhood
KICKBOXING CLASSES
at Maple Street School
21 Lincoln Rd. in Prospect Lefferts Gardens
Tuesdays at 7 pm for 8 weeks
April 10-May 29
Taught by local trainer and teacher, Sara Hatfield. Sara is certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and was a finalist in the New York Metropolitan Golden Gloves with USA Boxing. Sara has been teaching boxing, kickboxing and cardio-sculpting classes since 2002, in Williamsburg and Park Slope. Sara is a personal trainer to several moms in the neighborhood and lost 40 lbs herself when she started kickboxing 8 years ago.
WHY KICKBOXING?
Coach Sara's kickboxing class is rooted in true Muay Thai boxing technique. Students are learning a centuries old martial art while they get a great workout. "This isn't a Tae-Bo type aerobics thing. Its the real deal, and it is tons of fun too!"
Here's what she says about the class:
"We will be focusing on a full body workout with lots of sweaty fun and hitting stuff. Students will learn the basics of kickboxing: how to jab, punch, hook, uppercut -- plus knees, elbows and roundhouse kicks. Later we'll add a variety of other kicks and perhaps even some clinching. Class will also include boxing drills and calisthenics like pushups, ab work and active stretching. I always end class with a long relaxing stretch."
Eight CLASSES will be offered for
$120 per person (drop-ins $20)
