Ratner on NPR
Did anyone else catch it? They discussed MEtro tech and how it helped keep jobs in the city at an important time when NYC was losing major companies. They then covered how much subsidising they get and how no major retail companies have moved into his other spot and that the DMV and similar occupants dont create any new jobs, just move them around and stuff. They had some comments by Jim Stuckey, who stated that metrotech was never intentioned to create local jobs.

I heard it too as I was waking up this AM. The part where he defended Metrotech against charges of not providing local jobs scared me a little, since the defense was "we never said it would create local jobs".
It makes me wonder what parts of the new development will be answered the same way in the future.
