Hey all – I have an opportunity (free of charge) to get some personalized baseball caps (48 to be exact). They will be able to fit any wording or artwork (must be black image on glossy paper) on the front of the cap (within limits of course) we can use them to raise money for DH - of course I get one free cause Im Mad Hot
Here is what is available and the description:
"GOLF CAP. Traditional style with matching color braid across the visor and 7-post snap closure. Blended poly/cotton fibers for maximum durability. Choose from Red, Royal Blue, Black, Burgundy, Hunter Green, Navy Blue, White, Grey, Hunter/White, Red/White, Royal/White, Black/White or Navy/White. Imprint area: 4-1/2"W x 2"H.
DENIM CAP. 100% washed cotton. This popular cap has an adjustable cloth strap with antique brass buckle closure and hide-away strap. Available in Denim, Black/Denim or Khaki/Denim. Imprint area: 4-1/2"W x 2-1/4"H.

I have the glossy paper they are looking for we have used them before for our office's personalized gifts. Basically you just print whatever you like send it to them. Thanks! This is awesome. And this sounds like The 2005 Daily Heights Design Contest in the making...
Is this ONE design only, or can we get, like one design on 24 and another on 24?
How about this:
DESIGN CONTEST: Submit your ideas (multiple if you like). We vote. Maybe multiple rounds of voting to eliminate the riffraff. winner and runner-up get, like $100 and $50, and the rest of the money we spend on a block party, or karaoke, or hurricane victims, or whatever.
Oh, and it can be something found, too. Here is my idea:

Unfortunately it can only be one style, one design.

It's supposed to be Grand Army Plaza and the streets that lead up to it. -

Ahh ... Ok. Thanks. -
I busted this out in about 5 min, and now, having uploaded it, I don't like it much, but here's one version, at least:

I just don;t know about the "Ho" part. I mean doesn't the Ho part in Soho and Noho mean Houston street? I don't see how "Ho" can mean Heights. ProHi!

I don't really like this one either:

That looks like a logo from some sort of investment group. Too corporate, I think.
I think most people will be more likely to want a hat that's a little more "street" (yes, I know it sounds lame when it's spelled out this way). -
Granted, I'm not going to spend 80 years doing any sort of detailed city outline on what's obviously just a throwaway rough draft, but try and get the gist...

What about a Soldiers and Sailors Memorial silhouette instead of the cityscape? -
Is that Ratner's proposed skyline? Cool.

Well that's the idea, but I'm at work with limited time to bust these out when they're only rough drafts if you know what I mean. At home i can kill hours on this shit. -
Here's one that Ratner and BUILD may like.

Here are the hat choices:

"CHOOSE YOUR IMPRINT COLOR: Black, Light Blue, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Brown, Burgundy, Cream, Gold, Grey, Forest Green, Green, Khaki, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Silver, Teal, White or Yellow."

I would vote for all black or white with black bill. I would vote a definite no to any of the one-color caps besides black.
-
I suggest just a DailyHeights.com hat. None of this ProHo stuff. If it only says DH then more people may/will buy them! That way no one has an excuse not to find each other anywhere.

Ditto on the all black, or all white but those get so dingy over time.Oiseau wrote: I suggest just a DailyHeights.com hat. None of this ProHo stuff. If it only says DH then more people may/will buy them! That way no one has an excuse not to find each other anywhere.
I second that emotion. -

Switch it to black/white and ProHo (which has many, many meanings) to DailyHeights and that's a winner. -

Agreed. -
Allright, I'll work on it later in the day. I still have the working files handy. Gotta hit the San Genarro festival.

I'm no artist, but what happened to "Blame it on El Carne Viento"?

That would make a good version 2, since that's kind of an insider thing.
Howdy, Stranger!
