ISRAELI HISTORIAN TOM SEGEV
BOOK DISCUSSION @ CONGREGATION BETH ELOHIM

On Thursday, June 7th, at 8:00 pm, Congregation Beth Elohim at Garfield Place and 8th Ave. in Park Slope, Brooklyn is pleased to welcome Tom Segev, one of Israel's leading contemporary historians. Mr. Segev will discuss his new book 1967: Israel, The War and the Year that Transformed the Middle East.

Mr. Segev, who also writes for the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz, is the author of three now classic books: 1949: The First Israelis, The Seventh Million: The Israelis and the Holocaust, and One Palestine Complete: Jews and Arabs Under the British Mandate. Segev's new book has been described as a sweeping and provocative history of 1967, The Six Day War, what led to it, what came after and how it changed everything. Copies of 1967 will be available for purchase at this free event.

Sponsored by Congregation Beth Elohim in association with Brit Tzedek v'Shalom.
