in and around Prospect Heights (from Gowanus to Bed Stuy)

The significant artist community in Prospect Heights and the vicinity is likely to be impacted by the proposed massive Atlantic Yards development. Many artists inside the footprint of the project have already been dislocated.

An Environmental Impact Study for the project will be initiated on October 18th. The consultants for that E.I.S. will be asked to study the impact of the project in relation to our art community.

* destabilized commercial and residential rents and leases
* construction impacts
* negative effects on transportation and traffic
* environmental concerns including loss of light
* neighborhood character
* other issues in your immediate neighborhood
