Haitian Times gone from Vanderbilt?
Anyone know when the Haitian Times office relocated? And what the rent situation was?
The newspaper's presence on Vanderbilt was a pleasant reminder that this neighborhood has long been one of the leading city neighborhoods for Caribbean life. Of course, the sight of reporters working the phone inside the raggedy office also was a reminder of how modest life is for a community newspaper.
Looks as if the paper has moved to Flatbush Av in Prospect Lefferts, across the street from the Prospect Park subway stop.
