Abigail Brooklyn — Brooklynian

Abigail Brooklyn

Well it looks like a nice cafe and wine bar is coming to the new condo building on St. John's and Classon. Their website isn't up yet but there is a link to their other place in the West village. Looks nice. www.abigailbrooklyn.com

Abigail Café & Wine Bar An extensive seasonal menu comes courtesy of chef Abigail Hitchcock (Camaje Bistro) and her husband, Jason Noble, at this Prospect Heights eatery. Soups, salads and sandwiches share billing with more substantial plates, like smoked mac and cheese. When possible, the pair keeps it local: Floral arrangements echo what’s on display at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and neighborhood artists contribute to the rotating collection of exhibited work. 807 Classon Ave at St. John’s Pl, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn (718-399-3200)

    New Restaurant: Abigail's
  • Subject: Abigails

I've been to Abigail's a couple of times now and it's really lovely - the brunch menu is small at the moment as they are still setting everything up, and they don't have any booze yet; but the reassure me it is all on the way.

I went last Sat for brunch and was very pleased - the Eggs Benedict were prefect and my mother had something i had never heard of (a quiche of sorts) and this too was delightful, light and fluffy. Great OJ.

Lunch was also a success - i had the cauliflower and bacon salad with a side of Mac and Cheese (be warned the M&C is very rich a side will do... honestly!) whilst my mother had the stewed chicken which was full of Garlic and divinely tender!

Sooooo... the crucks of it is, please go and support this lovely little place - i live on Classon ave just opposite and it's so nice to have somewhere to sit down and have a coffee in style locally.

That's my two pennies worth anyway.
