Morning all - just lost everything I wrote, oh well. I woke up feeling lousy today so I'm staying home from work. I can't remember when I last took a sick day, but I still torture myself .. should I stay, should I go...guilt, the Catholic girl's best friend!
Was thrilled to read Debbie's post - its terrific that she was up to it so soon.
When medicine is good, it's really good!

Suzie - I fell asleep on the couch last night so I didn't respond to your question - my daughter's house is shaping up beautifully - bless her husband - my daughter can be a real slave driver, but to be fair, she works hard too...to be young & that energetic again.

I remember tackling all the projects when I first bought a house. Didn't want to do that again, so I had this house built because I don't think I ever want to do the fixing up again or have the energy to do it.

Hi Janet - you're right about not wanting to do the whole redo everything in sight deal. When I bought my house last year (downsized), it was pretty much all done because it was a"flip" - had been empty & neglected so the guy I bought from redid it. The only bad part is that I second guess the work that was done - did he do it right, did he do it cheap (some things-yes), but all in all its a good thing.

Having a house built must been great, you have a lot of control over everything - Did I read that you live in a log cabin? I've sen some on tv (just love all those home shows) - they are beautiful.

Did you decide to stay home today? I am doing my daily sweepstakes, and checking the blog in between.

I tried to call you in the hospital, but then was worried that your throat would be too sore to talk.

I'm really not in too much pain. I thought I would have more pain but thank God i don't.

Hi Debbie - so happy you're feeling pretty good. The scar will fade with time, did they have to shave any hair? Maybe you can get some whopping new hairdo!

It was, i sent kevin home about 6:30 because I was sore and tired. I slept on and off till the morning. Not that you can sleep in the hospital!!! They wake you every 2 hours for something.

Thanks Joe and Loretta. Thankfully they didn't have to shave any hair. I gonna need it to hide the scar. LOL

Hey Debbie ...I guess we are officially the Scar Sisters....lol ....dont stress it ...it will heal and get lighter in time...glad your on!

When I was around 10, I hurt my knee at my friend's house. There was a deep cut and her mother Mrs. Lavorante, took an egg and broke it. Inside the shell, she peeled a thin membrane and put it on the cut and said it was to prevent a bad scar. I don't have a scar where she placed it!!

Hi Suzie. I'm glad to be on and I'm glad to be home a day early!!! I know the scar will fade eventually. I'll have some numbness on the right side of my face for about 6months but he said that will go away too.

Hi Loretta ...sure go and fall asleep on me ...when I was in the mood to bullshit last night ....glad no one was on anyway ...I finally went to sleep before 11 .....My kids thought I was sick !!! LOL

Maybe your coming down with a sinus infection ...go take a hot shower...then cool it down....for your head!
