Just looked it up and here is what I found, lol. Just in case she was fooling me, lol.

    Egg for healing without scars

If you have a wound that you don't want to scar, eggs are going to be your option. Crack open the egg, and peel the inside skin from the shell and put this over your wound. This is going to help your wound heal without a scar. While it may be a bit messy it really does work!

Janet ....we cant do that now....since we know so much about eggs and salmonella .....we used to crack an egg and mix it with bread crumbs and eat it like that ....things we know now!!!

Deb ....try to keep it clean and dry ....and im sorry to say this....if it starts to ooze ....you have to be careful ...cause you can get an infection in it. After awhile, after the stitches are out and its officially closed ....soap and water is the best thing to keep it clean ....then you'll go through the itching ...and the redness and finally after a year its starts to get lighter in color. But your here ...and thats what really matters .....now doesnt it feel like a brick was lifted off your chest ?????

suzie - a shower sounds good. Could be the sinuses because my eyes feel heavy too.

Will check in later. Hope everyone has a good day. Stay warm.

Yes you can. Salmonella is not in the membrane, and you are not digesting it which would be where salmonella hits.

    LORETTA,
If it is your sinus' just keep on putting a hot washcloth over your nose and the top of your head. Some Israeli guy told me that years ago and it works and of course a hot steam shower.

Salmonella live in the intestinal tracts of humans and other animals, including birds. Salmonella are usually transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal feces. Contaminated foods usually look and smell normal. Contaminated foods are often of animal origin, such as beef, poultry, milk, or eggs, but any food, including vegetables, may become contaminated.

So, the membrane inside the egg shell is not going into your intestines, lol. Hope that makes you feel better.

Janet, Janet, Janet dont put the friggin membrane on anything ....just think if it has salmonella ...it is entering your blood stream through the open wound..... caprende' ??

Suzie wrote: negative k......why do they tell you to clean all surfaces of old eggs and chicken ....liquid!!
Because it can contaminate other food that you place there. The same precautions go for chicken and beef, and you still eat it, lol.

Debbie ....dont listen to us ...just do as the Doctors tells you !!!
(pssst! dont do the egg thing!) LOL

It has to be contaminated with feces from the chicken and digested in your intestines to get salmonella.

In Brooklyn, got a ride in and it is cold out I can not wait for spring.. WELL I am booked for Italy to see my son in the spring. I never have been on a plane for as many hours that I will be on for Italy. Mike is not going can not get vacation so it is just as well he can stay home and watch over everything. My son Michael, his friend and I are going. Jonathan's girlfriend will be there and her Mom and sister are also going when we go. Looking forward to going to Europe, never have been there before. REALLY looking forward to seeing my son since he will be there 3 months already by time I get there. SO I will probably be crying next week when he leaves..When I left him at college u would have thought someone died. Lori and I cried all the way home from poughkeepsie and that is only 2 and a half hours away.

The chief dropped her off at the entrance to the hospital and she told them she was allergic to Silverdyne. Well, they packed it with Silverdyne and she developed huge bubbles and had a red line working up her legs (blood poisoning) Later, they had to stretch skin from behind her knees and spread it across the knees. She now has a very thin layer of skin on her knees.
