I wanted to have a day at home to do nothing, today worked out well for me. i watched leverage from last night and was blogging and cleaning. i could not make gravy because i m missing an ingredient o, maybe saturday i will make it.

Boy are we from different ers's. My favorites were Sinatra, Crosby, The Dorsey's (Tommie & Jimmie), The Andrew sisters, Xavier Cugat, Woody Herman, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman,Guy Lombardo, Gene Krupa,Vincent Lopez, Harry James,The Mills Brothers etc;. Later I was into the 50's groups and the early 60's groups. Believe it or not we still get the remnents of those groups here in Florida. There is usually only one or two members left. I saw a lousy "Beach Boys" concert several years ago. There was one supposed member. Most people walked out on them. Mama Cass daughter was with them. I lived in Brooklyn from 1933-1960 and I never heard of Filmore East. Brooklyn Paramount, Brooklyn Fox, The Albee, The Melba (had Vaudville sunday night long after it was supposedly dead.) I remember all of those as well as all the local theaters.Where the heck was Filomre east? Nowadays I settle for Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett. Of course Tony Bennett is from several eras.
