this is so true. Can anyone remember when last spring/summer we were
almost paying $5.00 for a gallon of gas! We all stopped driving and
buying big cars and our voice was heard...price came down didn't it.
If we could all just stop and think about what we are buying...we have
the power to change things! Europeans don't like us...fine don't
travel there. Stay home and visit the good old USA!

I STILL GO TO COLUCCIO'S FOR MY ITALIAN GOODS. I GO TO ANTHONY'S FRUIT MARKE CALLED A AND J AN 76TH STREET RIGHT OFF OF 13TH AVENUE. I USE AMERICAN DRY CLEANERS THE NAPOLITANO'S ON 17TH AVENUE. I GO TO PASTOSA ALSO. I STILL SHOP IN THE MOM AND POP STORES. PEOPLE THINK IT IS CHEAPER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE. NOT SO, U HAVE TO KNOW YOUR PRICES. I FIND SOME THINGS CHEAPER IN PASTOSA AND MORE IN SHOPRITE AND LARGE GROCERY STORES.
SOOOOO...EVERYONE SHOULD THINK ABOUT WHERE THEY SHOP....SHOP AMERICAN IN YOUR SMALL MOM AND POP SHOPS. MIKE STILL GOES TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD PLUMBING STORES RATHER THAN HOME DEPOT AND LOWES. THE SMALL PLUMBING SHOP KNOWS MORE AND SOME TIMES CHEAPER AND BETTER SERVICE. SOOOOOOO UMBRIA I AM AN AMERICAN SHOPPER ON MOST THINGS. SOME THINGS U JUST HAVE TO BUY IF U REALLY NEED THEM.. Ant, I remember those things too, so I gotta tell ya , it was a little difficult getting the ice cream onto the cone.LOL First time I bought one bam right on the ground, so I walk back into Gus's on Prospect and 6th, grab a new one from the freezer and go to the counter to pay, Gus says, What Happened, I tell him, he shows me how to pull the wrapper off and says No Charge. So I think with this new mello roll stuff it comes with a guarantee or something if you drop it. So I tell everybody, and when it happened to someone else...no replacement. I asked my father why the other kid did'nt get one and thats the first time I understood what friends and loyalty meant. ( lotta grocery stores to choose from in those days )
I don't know how I went from ice cream to loyalty and friends LOL, but this blog will do that to ya! Shit, lotta typing for a frigging mello roll story! LMAO
