Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Now, I am really hungry, lol.

Growing up, I used to get a buttered hard roll and dip it in the coffee!!! WOW, seems like the hardest thing is to get a hard roll outside of NY.

Down here, they don't know what a bakery is and get all their baked goods from the supermarkets or Wal-Mart.

Can you tell I am trying not to eat anything extra these days !!! But the pictures may make me feel like I ate them, lol. Hopefully !!

mom spirits are great, thank God, but always on the couch.
she starts her new treatment this monday at NYU - goin on the drip chemo instead of the pill form - this one targets her particular kind of cancer having good results. we'll see

Hopefully all will feel better soon.

What's with this Bronchitis thing that's going around. Makes me want to stay home a lot more.

i hear it too - can't have any germs here that's for sure!

It's horrible, I can't stop coughing. Doctor said if I don't feel better today to go for a chest x-ray.

I know what your going through with your mother. Been there. My mother was on a chemo drip and thank God she is well. It was about 12 years ago for ovarian cancer. She never thought she would be better but look . She is now 85 and still going, driving us crazy and ruling the roost. Keep a stiff upper lip. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. LOVE.......

thanks for that donna - it's good to share. 2 months ago i could barely talk about it. i'm her caretaker 24/7 - hope this works for her - just want to see her normal again. thank God her spirits are good. her sense of humor great and heart full of love and concern still for us kids. amazing.
