Terry ... you are so smart....I didnt even think of that! LOL -
graybeard49Hi Everyone:
It's me Jim Cantwell back to you. This is the group I found the other night.
Let me tell you who I am so you might remember.
I was born in Aug 49 and moved to 12 st in '51. I went to Holy Family then Bishop Ford HS.
My girlfriend was Lucia Giacometti(now Pagano) and she helped me get a t job at Palmeri Drug Store when I was 14. I worked there till I graduated HS in 67. I hung out in the Regal Bowling Alley-Biff's & Mitch's Pool halls and on 12th & 11th St corners.
You folks are from down further 19-20th st where Pete Sacco and his brother Albert originally came from.(20th st tween 5-6)
You might remember my brother John who hung out in the bars out there in the early '70's.
Billy Johnson was the a year older then me.
Here are some names(maybe not spelled correctly)you might know or have heard of to help you know who I am and who I hung out with:(some I can't remember)
Pete Sacco(still my best firiend after 50 yrs)
Joe La Torre
Jackie Mulvey
Frankie Dawson
Eileen Howard
Loretta Dawson(Frankie's sister)
Liz Sicker
Pat Meanan
Jeanie Burresi
The above 3 lived on 12th tween 6-7
I went to HFS with a girl from 17th st named Nancy Zehall and that's about the only person I know fron your area.
I moved away from 12st in 1971 when I got married-lived in BR-got divorced-lived in BR-got re-married -lived in BR and in '84 moved to Union Beach NJ(exit 117) when I now live.
OK get the memory banks running and see if any of you remember me and Billy Johnson. I appreciate your help and thanks for inviting me in.

janet m horanAhhhhhhhhhh. I missed Christina. -
t-bone51GREYBEARD,

I DONT REMEMBER ANY THE NAMES.
YOU WERE BORN THE SAME YEAR AS MY HUSBAND AND HE CAME FROM 7TH STREET. HE HUNG OUT WITH JOE SILVA I BELIEVE. HE HUNG WITH ALOT OF GUYS FROM DOWN YOUR WAY. HUNG OUT IN A POOLROOM DOWN THAT WAY. I WAS BORN IN 51 SO WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER WE WOULD HAVE NOT HUNG OUT TOGETHER I WAS TOO YOUNG FOR YOUR AGE GROUP. NOW WE ARE ALL THE SAME AGE LOL -
janet m horanTerry, did you find Franny's address. I didn't !! -
francescaGRAYBEARD - JIMMY CANTWELL...
Hello, I remember your name; and I'm sure
we met.
Your probably won't remember me;
I was the 'little sister' back then (even
though it was only 3-4 years
difference; known as Franny Bruno).
You may remember my sister Phyllis (Scotto)
PHYLLIS BRUNO from 20th St between 4th & 5th.
I think she dated someone in your crowd named
Hobart. She hung out with Lucia for a while.
(Her other friends were Rosalie Zesare, Barbara Duva,
Monica/Cookie Acevedo, Nina Acevedo... to name a few)
I spoke to Lucia about this in the past, and have
pictures of you all on Brighten Beach (Coney maybe).
I remember you all posing in a 'pyramid' on top of
each other like we did back then.
Peter and Albert Sacco are our cousins. Their father
Charlie was my mom's cousin. We also had common
relatives who lived on 20th right below 6th ave - My
godmother Anna Sacco, her sister Susie Senese.
I sent my sister your original message late last night and
will send her your recent post (she doesn't come on to
this Site).
While I am still in close contact to my godmother Anna,
(the only one still surviving) - we lost contact with Peter
and Albert (what good-looking guys they were). I ask
for them when I speak to Anna.
Can you please give Peter my email address:
[email hidden]
that is a dash_ between the francesca and bruno
Thank you Jim.... Nice to 'see' you again. I'll be back
in touch and/or my sister will...
My best,
Francesca (aka Franny Bruno)

ronniejHi Jim: Welcome! I know the Dawsons. I went to school with Loretta Frankie (John Jay). Frankie is living in Florida and Loretta is in Pennsylvania. I just saw her about a month ago. -
t-bone51JANET,
I CALLED HER AND GOT THE ADDRESS. THANKS -
suzieHi Ronnie ....do you know Gail Munks? -
graybeard49OK Now were cookin.
I haven't spoken to Lucia in a while and I e-mailed her yesterday to see how she is doing.
I might be a little older then some of you.
I remember PHYLLIS BRUNO. She was Pete's cousin. Pete lives in SI and Albert in here in NJ near me.
I'm hoping that someone might remember Billy. I've been searching for some old Army buddies of my from time in Korea and this is how I wound up here believe it or not.
Well I have to go to work(yeah I still work).
Thanks for all your help and I look forward to hearing from you.
If I find a photo of me when I was younger I'll post it and maybe you'll remember my face
HAGD
