Well today is the first day of spring and we had snow flurries this morning!!!! What's up with that!!!

Fred and Jim, not sure if you knew my family. My dad was Big Nick Bonavtia and my mom was Diana D'Ambra. We lived on 21st between 5 & 6th. My dad had a grocery store on 6th ave for a while.

FRED: I had posted the instructions for you a few pages back. OK, will try to make it easier.

First, you need to put your picture in a photo program in order to shrink it. A great FREE one is Kodak Easy Share. http://kodak-easyshare-win.en.softonic.com/

Then shrink the photo to small size 29kb which is 125 X 125.
Then the easiest way to find it is to save a copy to your desktop. (name it)
Go back to the Blog and click on your page and go down to AVATAR and browse for the photo which you will find faster under Desktop.
lick on it and hit submit.
If it didn't work, the picture is too large. Go back and make a smaller copy and repeat.

Where??? IN NY ???? On the first day of Spring??? Believe me, it snows here sometimes into April. It happened 2 times in the past 3 years. Killed all the berries and cherries as well as many of the flowery bushes.

I'm looking out the window and I can't believe it's snowing!!!!

Maybe it is going to go North this year and leave us alone. I remember trying to get to work in April and skidding all over thr road when they closed school. So I went to get the kids and went home.

If snow is coming, I have to go out and cover the Daffodils and other blooming bushes. I just can't cover the Cherry Trees or Raspberry bushes.

Just a lot of work because for some reason, the instructions say that you can only make a small batch at a time. So, you have to keep repeating the steps over and over. It's like 8 small jars at a time. It also takes a ton of berries to get enough juice since most of it is seeds. I take the seeds out.

I will bring you some jelly if the berries survive. I will try to make dozens of jars to bring with me.

It is chilly here and we went from being in the 70s to 30s practically overnight. The weather has been going crazy these days. Can't wait until it's over.
