As the young doctor was looking through these, his eyes grew wide as he realized she had a prescription for birth control pills.

"Mrs. Smith, do you realize these are BIRTH CONTROL pills?" "Yes, they help me sleep at night."

"Mrs. Smith, I assure you there is absolutely NOTHING in these that could possibly help you sleep!"

She reached out and patted the young Doctor's knee. "Yes, dear, I know that. But every morning, I grind one up and mix it in the glass of orange juice that my 16 year old granddaughter drinks .... and believe me, it helps me sleep at night."

Terry, I did see your comment/post. When we got home last night
I watched some of my previous "The View" tapings and Woopie
talked about this and showed some of the kids. It broke my
heart too. I wrote down the website to check it out further
(and you can even be a 'mentor' too).. I was just telling my
sister about this and then saw Terry's post.

There's lots of info online. I'll go back there and visit another
time. (I'm less apt to adopt a bunch of kids - if it were a dog
site, I'd be in trouble).

Faith would always grab something and bring it with her
outside. While I was in the shower, she'd come take my
shoe and bring it to bed and lay on it. Always something
in her mouth -- oral fixation.

One day, the lawn guy (SUZIE, you remember him????)
was doing my lawn and when I came home from work
my undies were hanging off the deck. Faith brought them
into the yard with her that morning and I didn't know. He
hung them up for me....

Good thing they weren't the fruit of the loom bloomers...

Hello all who remember me as well as those who are somewhat new to this blog. Lately a few people have mentioned my absence from the blog. I have explained some of my reasons much earlier on but there are even more now. 1. Several people have indicated that this is no longer a page about history of Park Slope. You are making your new history every day as you post to each other. This is not a bad thing and should be considered progress as far as I am concerned. 2. I have only found one person who I vaguely know. 99.9% of those blogging here are from Prospect Ave out through the 20's. Even the few that are from my old area (12th St) are not in my age bracket or era. That brings me to #3 The age difference. It is vast! Most of you are 20 years younger then me or more. That is not a bad thing either. Bless you! However it makes my memories considerably different then yours. It is just a fact that I really have nothing to add. I have not found anyone that had the same school history and only one person from the same Church.I have always felt welcomed here and I continue to moniter the entries on a fairly regular basis. This will be my last posting however, due to the reasons given above. No hard feelings. No feelings of rejection. good bye friends!

I really like these folks here and they have adopted me but I would like to get together with those I grew up with.
