Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Morning All - been reading and trying to catch up. Please, let's not fight - it's not worth it. Life's to short. Anthony let it roll off your back. I like the music - some I listen to, others I scroll thru. I wish I could figure out if I could download some of the songs to my ipod.

Well, it's Monday and it's cold AGAIN. I'm waiting for warmer weather (so I can complain it's hot!!).

Ok - back to work - hope to get back later.

HEY ANTHONY, SOMETIMES I WILL LISTEN TO JUST ONE SONG THAT CAUGHT MY EYE AND IT WILL REMIND ME OF MY PARENTS. THEY SANG TOGETHER ON THE RADIO, THAT'S HOW THEY MET. SO EVERY NOW AND THEN ONE OF YOUR SONGS BRINGS ME BACK AND IT PUTS ME IN A GOOD MOOD ALL DAY. 8-)

Anthony - I had a very intense conversation with Janet last night about what she said! Janet really did not mean to hurt your feelings at all, She really cares about you!!! In fact she cares about everyone (too much at times)! She was just trying to relay the message that some of the bloggers were having issues with the videos because it was slowing down their computers... I couldn't relate to that because I do not have that issue, but people with older computers do. It takes the page longer to download the videos even if you don't open them up. My point is, words can hurt... It is all in perception. How you think she came off to you is not how she meant it to be! She was not being nasty, she was only trying to help everyone...

Janet - Please don't take this the wrong way, but let people talk for themselves & don't become a spokes person for any one group of people! There is an old saying... 'Don't Kill the Messenger", and it seems that is what took place.......... Everyone of us have a mouth to say what we think & we should...

I think this was a learning experience that we all need to experience one time or another....

Anthony - Please let it go.... Janet is a good person! No one meant to hurt you! It was just meant for the good of the blog....

I hope I made some sense here.... Now who can I fight with???? lol

I'm sorry to hear that Joe. Yep, you're right - life sucks big time. And, we do need a reality check regularly. I'll keep both moms in my prayers for a peaceful end. And you and your sister and her family to be able to handle everything that comes with being an adult (regardless of how old we are, we never old enough to lose a parent. I always said after my folks died, I didn't know what was scarier - the fact that I was an orphan or that my sister became the matriarch of the family and another security layer was gone.)

Terry - sorry about Mrs. Taylor - tell her I hope she's better soon. Margaret's away this week - business trip. How about next week. We're supposed to have dinner w/Ronnie Jackson Kane one night. We'll go together. Let me get back to you with a date.
