francescageriob1 wrote: Franny & Frank - Your hospitality was the best. You are two of the nicest people I have met in a long time. Wish I knew you back in the old neighborhood (Terry & Carol were so fortunate), John really enjoyed himself & you guys really out did yourselves with the food! Now I am hooked on finding sharks teeth, but I love it. Janet told me you planted one for me to find & John blew it... lol That was great! Can't wait to see you guys again.. Love Ya! Geri
LOL Geri - now I'm even looking in the back yard. We'll have to make the 'Festival' an annual tradition... Among other events.
Janet, thanks for posting our picture....
Geri - Thank you for your call to offer to come to the hospital with me on Tuesday. You are truly and angel... Frank's best friend will be flying down on Tuesday, so I am thankful for that.
Will keep you posted... Love you!
To All -
Please keep FRANK in your prayers this week... He is having bi-pass
surgery (double, possibly triple) on this Tuesday. I'm getting a stomach
ache just writing this. I know he will be fine - just scary, and of course
all my abandonment issues are on HI ALERT!
Love You All & Enjoy Your Sunday...
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad!"(I just sang that for you....) -
francescaOH MY -- JUDY
I'm sorry about mom - extra prayers in your direction!
Love & Faith to You! and Your Family, expecially mom! -
judy giordano banjanyFranny - I hope you are still on....my mom is having terrible pains around her shoulder blades, they first thought it was the heart, my sisters and I seem to think it has something to do with the radiation...what do you think.... -

YES JUDY - it can have to do with the radiation. And I just saw
my new oncologist this month - and he said DEFINTELY - PAIN FROM RADIATION.
If someone hugs me too hard, I get a pain in my breast. Or some
other things like sleeping on stomach hurts breast. So that is real
and mine is now 5 Years later.
Again, while you should make sure this is the case with your mom - it is true that radiation causes the area radiated to hurt. IS IT the same area where she had radiation? -
judy giordano banjany
Franny & Frank - Franny you know that Frank is in my thoughts and prayers and Angles are watching over both of you....we are here for you both...
We wish you both Good Luck with the surgery, we know Frank will be fine, he has you to love and comfort him.
Love,
Judy -
judy giordano banjanyFranny - I can't believe you said that, because her doctors seem to think it is not from radiation...but what you just described is exactly what she is feeling....she had radiation right in the middle of her chest, but they told her that her back was also affected by the radiation.
She has to go to her oncologist on April 29th, and hopefully we will get more answers.
I know you are going through your own ordeal right now....sorry to bother you, but thank you so much for answering me..... -

Love,

LOL - that's what he's afraid of... my nurturing and comforting - he already
warned me.... well, isn't that what good mommies do? :-)
Love to You -

Yes Judy - the Radiologist should know and tell her this. This is their 'area' of fixing. I no longer see the Radiologist, so I depend on the Oncologist and he said YES - I trust him. And it is very painful - at first I would think the cancer is back. So don't let them 'discount' what she's feeling and experiencing. Not sure what can be done about it -- hopefully it is not
a consistent/cronic problem for mom.
You are not bothering me. I will send you a private message with my home number in case you or your sister wants to talk. We will be
going out at 3PM for a few hours. Otherwise will be here... -

This is what oncologist said causes my pain (and possibly your
moms) - adhesions:
Radiation therapy, frequently prescribed to treat cancer, can cause multiple adhesions (internal scars) in the body. Adhesions can cause moderate to severe pain or dysfunction, with life-long consequences.
Radiation therapy adhesions act like a very strong glue, adhering the irradiated tissues to nearby structures, such as organs, muscles, bones, and connective tissues. Where adhesions occur, organs and muscles can lose their ability to function normally, often causing pain or other symptoms.
Symptoms sometimes appear far from the site of the original trauma, as inflammation causes adhesions to spread to neighboring organs.
Think that says it in a nutshell... -
judy giordano banjanyFranny - I can't thank you enough for all your great information. thank you so much....if I have any other questions I may just call you... -
