hey sis!
JUST BLOGGED TO SAY, "HELLO".
I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY NIGHT,
AND I KNOW IT'S LATE, BUT I COULDN'T WAIT, HELLOOOOOOO.
WHAT'S UP BROOKLYN ???
What a nice surprise. I came on after months and what do I see...... a mention of my Dad from Terry.
ABOUT TANNING............Maria Tombasco and I would sit in her little yard on 19th Street and squeeze fresh lemons in our hair (for the streaks) and olive oil on our bodies as if we were salads or something. Her father would than come over to us with bowls of piping hot Tripe. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end!
Hope this blog finds my buddy Debbie, Francesca, Janet, Patsy, Anthony, Joe, Suzie, Judy, Festina, Terry, doing well and enjoying life.
Hello Helen. I'm not sure if I know you, but it's nice to see new, old friends on the blog.
Glad the Reunion is up and running. It should be another exciting event. Janet, the flyer was very nice. You are so computer saavy........so talented, cuz.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

oh God Judy - i luv this!
POEM
A clothesline was a news forecast
To neighbors passing by.
There were no secrets you could keep
When clothes were hung to dry.
It also was a friendly link
For neighbors always knew
If company had stopped on by
To spend a night or two.
For then you'd see the "fancy sheets"
And towels upon the line;
You'd see the "company table cloths"
With intricate designs.
The line announced a baby's birth
From folks who lived inside -
As brand new infant clothes were hung,
So carefully with pride!
The ages of the children could
So readily be known
By watching how the sizes changed,
You'd know how much they'd grown!
It also told when illness struck,
As extra sheets were hung;
Then nightclothes, and a bathrobe, too,
Haphazardly were strung.
It also said, "Gone on vacation now"
When lines hung limp and bare.
It told, "We're back!" when full lines sagged
With not an inch to spare!
New folks in town were scorned upon
If wash was dingy and gray,
As neighbors carefully raised their brows,
And looked the other way . . .
But clotheslines now are of the past,
For dryers make work much less.
Now what goes on inside a home
Is any body's guess!
I really miss that way of life.
It was a friendly sign
When neighbors knew each other best
By what hung on the line!
it's so true.
it made me cry bringing back so many memories of when the kids were small. i'm gonna print it out and hang it on the frig.
it's funny - doin the laundry back then was so much more work than today with using the dryer - yet i never complained about doin it. loved pinning it to the line. and that fresh sping air on them when you "took them in" (after shaking the bugs off, LOL) was so refreshing!
remember takin the clothes in on cold winter days? it was like taking in cardboard! lol!
yes, the clothesline was oh so telling!
how bout when they were out there for two days or so.
people knew you were slacking!
"hey, u ever gonna take those friggin clothes in?"
...sometimes the line was a good storage place too,
for the winter items, lol! (just kiddin)
thanks so much for that! lv u xx -

GOT AN EMAIL THAT THEY WANT TO KNOW THE PLACE BEFORE THEY SEND THE MONEY. IF PEOPLE DONT SEND MONEY I CANT GO TO A PLACE AND SAY OH I WILL GIVE U THE MONEY AS SOON AS THE PEOPLE SEND IT. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. YES LAST YEAR IT WORKED THAT WAY BECAUSE WE HAD A CONNECTION WITH THE YACHT CLUB.
I WILL REALLY BE SURPRISED IF WE HAVE 300.....
LETS SEE!!!! SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO THE PEOPLE WHO DONT BLOG WE NEED THE MONEY ASAP...... LOVE TBONE
I WOULD SAY ALMOST EVERYONE THAT I TALKED TO SAID THEY REALLY DONT CARE WHERE IT IS AS LONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER.
SOOOOOOO HERE IS THE DEAL... AND DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY.....AS SOON AS I GET ENOUGH MONEY FOR A DEPOSIT I AM BOOKING A PLACE. IF U LIKE IT U COME AND I U DONT LIKE IT U DONT COME BUT U WILL BE MISSING A GREAT TIME LIKE LAST YEAR. LAST YEAR NO ONE CARED AND NO ONE HAD A SAY. WE COULD HAVE IT ANYWHERE , JUST AS LONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER.
TRUST ME DID I DO U WRONG LAST YEAR????
OH THE BATHROOMS...SOME PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE BATHROOMS... DID NOT USE THEM OR THE ONE LITTLE ONE SO I DID NOT SEE IT. PLEASE TRUST ME AND LEAVE IT UP TO ME. TOO MANY COOKS SPOIL THE BROTH. LET ME HANDLE IT I WILL DO THE RIGHT THING.
